Nowadays, the innocuousness of silicone implants is no longer called into question. There is no evidence that these implants can cause malign diseases or autoimmune diseases (collagenopathy).
Furthermore, the rate of capsular contracture (exaggerated response of the patient's body rejecting the implant) which may result in an implant replacement has significantly dropped during this decade thanks to the improved manufacturing processes (texturized implants).

The way of access (periareolar or submammary) as well as the size of the implant shall be at the patient's discretion.
The surgery is performed by administering local anesthesia and on an out-patient basis. The patient will be able to return to her social and work life after 48 hours following surgery. The implants are capable of tolerating blows and high pressure.
